San Luis Obispo - The Central Coast

Give us a little background on yourself.

I am so blessed to say that I grew up with two amazing parents and a brother in a tiny town of about 400 people. My graduating class of 15 classmates! After graduating, I moved to San Luis Obispo where I attended college. At 22 I married and had two amazing boys. I was a full-time mom but worked most of time either as PTA President or many different charities. I am so grateful my parents taught us hard work, passion and dedication for everything we did. We either did it right or we didn’t do it at all. After my boys graduated as a newly empty nester I thought ~ what do I want to do for me? I really loved the wedding industry, my mom was an event planner for over 40 years so I helped her a lot, I knew this was the route I wanted. I always loved makeup and thought that’s it! I want to airbrush makeup for brides. I took a few courses in Los Angeles to get started, but I ended up back in NY with Temptu Airbrush and that was it! I was hooked! On that same trip, I met Michael DeVellis with The Powder Group ~ little did I know at that time that this trip was going to change my life forever and I have never looked back! It is through The Powder Group that I have networked and met the amazing artists and sponsors (Skindinavia) ~ everyone is like family ~ it has opened so many doors and opportunities ~ I have done runway, tv/film, but my passion is doing my bridal makeup ~ truly blessed to do what I love.

What do you think makes makeup so special in our world?

Almost every woman in this world wants to look and feel beautiful, and makeup gives them that little extra confidence to give them a little pep in their step! In my world of bridal makeup, I have the opportunity to create a look that is special for every bride to love on her special day and forever in her photos. It is so easy to say that makeup is special in our world, but it’s not just makeup ~ there is so much more to it to achieve a long-lasting flawless look and it starts with skin prep~ the primers and the setting sprays ~ I couldn’t achieve these special makeup looks without the amazing Skindinavia products 💗
